5 Things I Did to Add 3,000 Social Media Followers in 3 Weeks #76

I’m going to take a wild guess and assume you want more social media followers.

Most mission-driven messengers do!

And although follower count is often mocked as a vanity metric, the truth is, follower count is a trust signal.

It’s a proxy that people use to evaluate your credibility.

So today I want to share five techniques I used to grow my social media by 3,000 followers in just three weeks.

These five techniques will work for you no matter what stage of business you’re in.

1. It’s True, the Hook Is Everything

You’ve probably heard, “It’s all about the hook.”

Which is true.

But what does that mean?

It’s simple: tell your audience what you’re going to tell them.

This approach not only grabs attention but sets the stage for what’s to come.

By starting my videos with a clear preview of the value I’m about to deliver, I’ve seen an immediate uptick in viewer retention.

The first few seconds of your video can make or break viewer engagement.

2. Production Value Matters More than You Think

If you can invest in quality video and audio equipment, do it.

I’m glad I took the plunge and leveled up my hardware because it changed the game for me.

As much as we’d like to believe content is king, the truth is: presentation matters just as much.

High production value doesn’t just capture your audience’s eyes, it holds their attention and signals credibility.

At the end of the day, their perception is your reality.

What do you want your audience (and competitors) to perceive about you based on the quality of your videos?

3. Toss in Rapid-Fire Editing to Hold Attention

Attention is scarce, so your videos should be dynamic.

“Dynamic” means introducing more cuts, visual aids, and changes in scenery to keep viewers engaged all the way to the end.

For better or for worse, this editing style caters to the modern viewer’s need for constant stimulation and boosts your content’s shareability.

It’s a simple trick that leverages human psychology to your advantage.

4. Marry Story + Lesson for Maximum Engagement

You know that humans are wired for stories, so why aren’t you sharing more stories on social media?

Personal anecdotes not only humanize you, they also help you form connections with your audience.

Each story you tell should offer a lesson or insight to transform your “everyday” experiences into valuable takeaways.

Stories are sharable, so give your audience something worth sharing.

5. Hit the Stage for Serious Growth

Speaking on stages, whether virtual or physical, is one of the most effective ways to expand your reach quickly.

Each presentation is an opportunity to convert strangers into followers and, eventually, into loyal fans.

Public speaking is a mega-accelerator, and if you’re serious about growing your followers, a non-negotiable.

Craving More Influence and Impact?

I added 3,000 followers on social media in three weeks using these five techniques.

They worked for me, and they can work for you no matter how many followers you’re starting with.

But word of caution: while tactics are important, understanding the principles of personal branding is what makes these techniques work.

If you’re serious about taking your personal brand to the next level, consider scheduling a Free Brand Call with my company, Brand Builders Group.

We help mission-driven messengers like you increase their influence and monetize their personal brand.

Curious?

Here’s where you can learn more.

Growth on social media is not about who can shout the loudest.

It’s about being smart with how you capture attention in today’s digital age.

Give at least one of these techniques a try to grow an audience that looks forward to each and every one of your posts.
