3 Hidden Traits of Successful People

Why do people succeed?

Today, I’m going to tell you the 3 hidden traits that all successful people have developed to aid them in their journey to fame and fortune.

1. Crush It Where You’re At

The first one is to crush it where you’re at.

This is one we don’t hear enough about when it comes to success.

Everybody talks about things like, starting your side hustle and figuring out what your vision is. And all those things are good, but a lot of us overlook the importance of being very successful at the thing that is right in front of us.

Meaning, the best way to set yourself up for success in the next thing is to be successful doing the thing that you’re doing right now.

Many of us live in this fantasy land and think that once we’re doing the thing we want to do, then we’ll suddenly make the sacrifices it takes to be successful.

We keep saying phrases like,

“Once it’s my business, I will put in the work.”

“Once I get this certification…”

“Once I got a new boss…”

Or

“Once my kids are grown and out of the house…”

Those are all LIES!

If you can’t endure some short-term pain to be successful at the thing you’re doing now, why do you think you would be willing to in a different situation?

The reality is that like Vince Lombardi said, “Winning is a habit.”

Being a winner is something in your character.

Winners win at everything, not just winning on the scoreboard and not just beating other people, but they do excellent work and make an impact within whatever they’re doing.

That’s not something you should do occasionally.

That is not something you do when the conditions are perfect.

That is a character trait that you must decide and commit to embracing.

You are a winner because you’re always a winner.

And yeah, it’s hard and painful at times. But that is the price of admission to being excellent.

That is the price of admission for being great.

That is the price of admission for doing anything that matters.

So, if you want to be successful at your next thing, don’t wait to start developing the success habits until you’re doing those things, start developing them now.

The reason why successful people can pivot so quickly to the next thing is because they have done everything in their power to make their current thing succeed.

It’s like jumping from the top of one mountain to the top of another mountain, versus being halfway up or at the bottom of a mountain.

In that case, you must go down that mountain and then go up from the bottom of the next mountain. But if you’re on the top of a mountain, you just jump from the top of one mountain to the top of the next.

2. Generate Trust

When you’re trying to generate revenue for your business a lot of us forget about one of the most important factors when it comes to sales…TRUST.

Let me give you an example.

In 2022, we were fortunate to be a very significant part of Ed Mylett’s book launch.

We helped Ed pre-sell 117,000 copies of his book.

The reality is we get far more credit than we deserve.

The real credit goes to the amount of trust and reputation he built up with his audience.

Did some of our stuff help? Ed is very gracious in saying that it did.

But the reality is that we taught him the same thing we teach all our clients. It wasn’t like we gave him some secret that we didn’t give anybody else.

The difference in his results comes from the fact that Ed built trust with his audience long before he asked them to buy anything from him.

Trust must always take place before there’s a transaction.

Too many people want to come out and just sell right away to a bunch of strangers on the internet.

It’s not necessarily wrong to do that.

But I think the reason that people struggle to succeed right away is because they think there’s some technique they need to develop. And if that technique doesn’t work, they blame it on whoever gave them that advice.

The reality is, it’s because you didn’t have enough trust banked up with your audience.

3. Just Stick With It!

If you want to become successful in your space, 80% of it comes from just sticking around and not quitting.

Most people just quit after a few months if they don’t get traction.

And I think 80% of achieving a dream comes from just not giving up on it. It’s just pursuing it and sticking with it.

People think that to be a successful entrepreneur they must have a great product, be good at sales and marketing, or have a world-class team.

It’s none of that. Yes, all those things help but none of them are predominant criteria for success.

The number one most important criteria for being a successful entrepreneur is to be willing to get kicked in the face over and over and over every day and keep coming back for more.

That’s it!

If you want to be a successful entrepreneur. That’s the job, that’s the job.

It’s not secret strategies, mentorships, or personal development books, it is your threshold for getting kicked in the face and being able to get up again.

That is what it takes to succeed as an entrepreneur.

Do you think things are easy for the people who change the world?

If you want to change the world, that’s the job.

If you want to own your own business, that’s the job.

If you want to make unlimited income, that’s the job.

So, for you to succeed at launching your next thing, you need to crush it where you are now, build trust with your audience, and increase your threshold for getting kicked in the face.

I believe that there’s a calling on your life to do something so big in the world that that calling will outweigh the pain that you have to go through.

So, keep pushing through and come back every week for a new blog post that’ll help you get closer to achieving your dreams.
