When you are tired…pray.
When you are lonely…pray.
When you are hurt…pray.
When you are frustrated…pray.
When you are scared…pray.
When you are tempted…pray.
When you are weak…pray.
When you have failed…pray.
When you are sad…pray.
Believing in God doesn’t promise us that we’ll be free from pain.
It only promises us that everything is a part of His plan.
And our understanding of His plan is never a prerequisite for Him executing that plan.
So our only job is to pray and trust that somehow our pain is a part of His preparation.
Prayer gives you peace in times of frustration.
Prayer gives you protection in times of fear.
Prayer gives you perspective in times of failure.
Prayer then, is a demonstration of your trust that God is bigger than your pain.
As you remember those lost on this fateful day and salute those heroes who fought for those who couldn’t, pray to find true solace.
